Leigh Foy

My Background

Rachel “Leigh” Foy, M.S., M.A.T., is an Educational Consultant specializing in climate science literacy, building on an award winning high school science teaching career at York Suburban High School and adjunct faculty member at York College of Pa. Leigh's latest job experience was working remotely on a multi-national learning science team to produce content for medical educators. She was an associate editor on the national High School POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) Initiative and is an exceptional workshop facilitator and presenter for POGIL and climate science literacy. She has been awarded several classroom grants for environmental education and in 2015 was awarded the MIT Inspirational Teacher of the Year award. In 2019 Leigh was awarded the American Chemical Society's National Award "Incorporation of Sustainability into Chemical Education" for her work in climate science literacy.
